Abstract: As a core carrier of school aesthetic education, music education undertakes the important mission of cultivating students’ aesthetic literacy, shaping sound personalities and inheriting cultural spirits. Under the background of the new-era aesthetic education reform, the drawbacks of traditional music classroom teaching modes that emphasize skills over aesthetic perception and knowledge indoctrination over emotional experience have become increasingly prominent, failing to meet students’ comprehensive developmental needs for aesthetic education. Based on the actual teaching situation of primary and secondary school music classrooms, this paper analyzes the existing problems in the integration of aesthetic education into music teaching. It explores the in-depth integration paths of aesthetic education from four dimensions including classroom content reconstruction, teaching mode innovation, diversified activity expansion and evaluation system optimization, and puts forward targeted teaching strategies. The research aims to provide practical references for improving the effectiveness of aesthetic education in music classrooms and implementing the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education.
