Abstract: Against the backdrop of the entry into force of RCEP and the continuous expansion of the digital content market in Southeast Asia, the dissemination of China's online literature within the region has ceased to manifest as a singular copyright export model, instead forming a dual-channel structure with institutional-commercial pathways and platform-community pathways operating concurrently. This paper analyzes the dissemination mechanisms of China's online literature in Southeast Asia, focusing on Chapters 11 and 12 of RCEP as core institutional texts, combined with exploratory questionnaires and interview materials. The study reveals three key findings: First, while RCEP provides regional minimum rules for intellectual property protection, electronic transactions, and personal information protection, its transitional period provisions, broad exceptions, and dispute resolution limitations result in significant asymmetry and indirect impacts. Second, readers 'content discovery increasingly relies on social media and community dissemination, whereas reading experiences on formal platforms are primarily influenced by translation quality, pricing, payment convenience, and product localization. Third, cultural differences are not the primary barrier to the dissemination of China's online literature in Southeast Asia; the key to enhancing acceptance and legitimate conversion rates lies in providing term explanations and contextual backgrounds while preserving China's narrative style. Thus, RCEP does not replace market and community mechanisms but rather delineates boundaries for platform governance and legitimate operations. Ultimately, the effectiveness of dissemination remains determined by the continuous interaction between institutional constraints, platform strategies, and reader community feedback.
