Abstract: In the development of contemporary ink figure painting, works that take photographers as their subject matter have gradually increased in public visibility and are beginning to form a coherent body of work. As a type of figure image in painting, the photographer possesses a distinctly contemporary character and exhibits strong collectivity, intentionality, and directionality. When the photographer appears as the primary figure in a painting, the content of the picture centres on the human activity of "photography" itself, which is inherently characterised by instantaneity, visuality, and documentary authenticity. In expressing creative ideas and emotions, one cannot ignore the intrinsic attributes of photographic activity, while also remaining faithful to the specific qualities of the photographer. Taking the author's own creative practice as a case study, this paper selects three representative works from the practical research and analyses the creative thinking, technical approaches, and artistic expressive features of ink figure paintings centred on photographers.
