Abstract:As a key form of cultural communication, films convey distinct cultural heritage and values of their producing nations. As a major carrier of cultural values, cinema serves as one of the most direct and effective ways to present culture.

The release of The Wandering Earth and the popularity of the Avengers series in China embody SinoUS cultural exchanges. The essence of such exchange lies in the communication of core values. Understanding different values helps people better comprehend diverse cultures, reflect on their own values, and view cultural differences more objectively.

This thesis compares the two films, analyzes the distinct Chinese and American core values they reflect, explores their similarities, differences and underlying causes, and deepens the understanding of SinoUS cultural values. The study enables audiences to gain a clearer insight into the cultures and values of China and America.

Key Words: Chinese and American science fiction films; Cultural values; Comparative study
