Abstract:This paper examines identity construction among English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners and teachers within language learning and teaching contexts. By reviewing recent academic research, it explores how identities dynamically form through language learning participation, cultural interaction, and educational environments. Understanding these identity-building mechanisms offers crucial insights for optimizing teaching strategies, enhancing learning outcomes, and promoting professional development.
Key words: EFL learner, EFL teacher, identity construction
