Abstract: Smart lighting design is undergoing a paradigm shift from functional satisfaction to emotional resonance. Grounded in affective design theory, this study systematically explores the integration of emotional elements in smart lighting through three dimensions: instinctive response, behavioral interaction, and reflective engagement. At the instinctive level, biomimetic forms, warm textures, and feedback sound effects evoke multisensory emotional connections. The behavioral dimension enhances user experience through natural interactions, dynamic feedback mechanisms, and proactive scenario anticipation. The reflective layer achieves deep emotional resonance through cultural symbolism, personalized storytelling, and role-based design. Research demonstrates that these three-tiered affective design components mutually reinforce each other, progressively elevating smart lighting from functional tools to family companions that combine aesthetic value, interactive warmth, and spiritual significance. This study provides a systematic theoretical framework and practical roadmap for developing emotionally engaging smart lighting solutions.

Keywords: Emotional design; Smart lighting fixtures; Interactive experience
