Abstract:This study examines differences in urban women's love and marriage concepts between China and the U.S. through comparative analysis of the TV series Ode to Joy (China) and Friends (U.S.). The anthor uses Geert Hofstede's dimensions to explore how cultural values shape attitudes toward relationships, family roles, and marital expectations. The research aims to enhance cross-cultural understanding and communication while contributing to future studies on cultural influences in media and society.
