Abstract: As two pivotal narrative art forms, theater and film have developed distinct aesthetic systems through their respective mediums—stage and screen. This study systematically examines the aesthetic differences between theatrical and cinematic narratives through four core dimensions: narrative medium, spatiotemporal construction, aesthetic distance, and narrative perspective. By analyzing classic works from China and abroad, it explores the integration logic and practical pathways of these two art forms in contemporary creative practice. The research reveals that the "presence" of theatrical narrative and the "camera presence" of cinematic narrative are not mutually exclusive. Instead, they can achieve complementary advantages through media interpenetration, spatiotemporal reconstruction, and perspective shifts, thereby offering new possibilities for the innovative development of narrative art.
