Abstract:Against the backdrop of the transformation of higher education, the role of counselors in student development has been continuously expanding, shifting from administrative management to developmental guidance and value cultivation. Integrating educational leadership principles into counselors’ daily guidance practices can effectively enhance the quality and effectiveness of student work. Based on educational leadership theory and grounded in the practical context of university counseling, this paper systematically analyzes the application pathways of such principles in daily guidance. By examining the existing challenges in counselors’ work, optimization strategies are proposed from the perspectives of conceptual transformation, practical approaches, and institutional support. The findings indicate that the integration of educational leadership can strengthen counselors’ guiding role, improve teacher-student interaction, and promote students’ comprehensive development. This study provides valuable insights for constructing a more scientific and efficient student guidance system.
